EARLIER TODAY, I WAS PULLING into a parking space in front of the post office. I noticed a large round sticker affixed to the rear window of the car I was parking next to. I quickly scanned the message and burst out laughing. I grabbed my purse and started feeling around in it for my camera. I got out, walked back to see the sticker and noticed a young man walking up to the car.
"Is this your car?" I asked with a smile.
"Yes."
"I love your sticker! Do you mind if I take a photo of it? I want to put it on my blog."
"A lot of people do. Sure go ahead."
We chatted for a few seconds before bidding each other adieu.
Now, please refrain from going all political on me, okay? This is just meant to be funny. If you (like me) find a grain of truth in it, then feel free to comment. I just think we need to keep a sense of humor about it all.
Thank you all for your encouragement on my previous post! I appreciate your kind words more than I can say. I love you all.
I know I'm feeling this way about the Portland mayors race
ReplyDelete. I feel like I must be living in a backwater town in the 1950's that these two lame candidates are what I have to choose from...
Oh, yes, I can see a grain of truth in this! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love that sticker....what an intelligent man! I think I can smile now : )
ReplyDeleteI had a sense of humor until the binders comment.
ReplyDeleteNobody just might have my vote!,lol
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect Grace. LOL! I really need one of those. :)
ReplyDeleteActually "nobody" would be good in office. Think about it - "nobody" is always available and busy at it. Example: "Who left the light on? "Nobody" "Who put the empty carton back in the fridge?" "Nobody" "Who left the front door unlocked?" "Nobody" Yes - "nobody" is a person of action. And after all - if elected, and something goes wrong, "nobody" is to blame!
ReplyDeleteSad but true. I, and I think a lot of other people, end of voting for the lesser of the evils. Not how it was meant to be...
ReplyDeleteI would like to find one of those stickers - it pretty much says it all.
ReplyDeletewe definitely need a strong 3rd party! and yes, I'd use that bumper sticker.
ReplyDeleteThis election time is a strain. So happy when it will be over but honestly humor is the best way to deal with it.
