- I'm a native Oregonian. Other than four years of my childhood that I spent on the big island in rural Hawaii, I've lived in Oregon all my life and I love it here.
- My husband and I celebrated 31 years together last August. What a wonderful man I chose!
- I've got four grown children, one boy and three girls. I'm very blessed!
- I am in transition, having just started a full time Admin Assistant job after being a stay at home mother since 1983 when my son was born. The people I work with are awesome and I feel very lucky.
- Although I suck at many things, [especially math], I am fairly proficient at gardening, writing and shopping, although there is a caveat with the shopping. It has to be for plants, garden junk or books.
- I'm a computer junkie. In addition to my blogs, I do Facebook and Pinterest and have several very cool email and blogging buddies.
- By nature, I'm an introvert and do best with an hour or so of alone time but I also like people and enjoy discussing different perspectives, whatever the topic.
- Since 2003, I've had the pleasure and honor of writing a garden column for a regional newspaper.
- I've been honored to have one of my short stories published in The Moment I Knew. See sidebar.
- My full length memoir detailing my difficult childhood, early adulthood, mental health issues and a seven year stint in a cult-like setting is written and polished. Know of a good publisher who might be interested? Please, please?.
