It's even worse now that I'm back in Idaho after having lived down South for the past two winters. I've never been more cold in my entire life. I'm sitting here with my robe and UGGS on, plus a small space heater at my feet. The house is 70 inside, but I'm still cold!!! Mild southern winters have ruined me ;)JeriWBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04560326888524377308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2632414454343958528.post-42721108948424464912013-12-12T21:33:21.922-08:002013-12-12T21:33:21.922-08:00I grew up and learned to drive in a rural area out...I grew up and learned to drive in a rural area outside of Spokane, WA, snow and ice aplenty, not many snow plows. I shouldn't be a wuss right? But I am. I was clenching my teeth right along with you in this story.danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2632414454343958528.post-86907139771626557482013-12-12T19:13:31.945-08:002013-12-12T19:13:31.945-08:00You're not a wuss. It's just not something...You're not a wuss. It's just not something you're used to. We don't get a great deal of snow around here; probably more ice than snow some winters. I'm scared to drive on ice, though I will venture out in snow. I lived in Northwest Ohio for 5 years, where we got a LOT of snow. It was easy to drive on, though, because the land was completely flat. When you have hills like where you live and I live, it makes it tougher. I'm glad everything ended up OK. :-)Tina Fariss Barbourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15659018994558471570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2632414454343958528.post-74645078336656488862013-12-12T15:14:16.136-08:002013-12-12T15:14:16.136-08:00Even a bonafide winter he-woman would be a wuss wi...Even a bonafide winter he-woman would be a wuss without our winter powers. We had temps in the single digits and a foot of snow overnight. But by morning the plows had been out and the roads were cleared and salted. Save for a few spots all was fine, and I made the hour drive to work with no problems.

But our secret is we have the snow removal equipment. I have been in seattle when they have had snow and ice and the only way around was chains...and no way we got up the hills. So don't beat yourself up about it. Without the special powers we have in the NE we would be wussies too!!Donna@Gardens Eye Viewhttp://gardenseyeview.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2632414454343958528.post-91982708751528459562013-12-12T13:00:34.348-08:002013-12-12T13:00:34.348-08:00I am a winter weather wuss too. Like you, I prefer not to venture out when it's like that.Alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16323262555906240701noreply@blogger.com
