Grace,
Glad your garden is perking up. Beautiful hellebore too! Your tours of the garden are really beyond anything we have here in drought stricken NC. It has been a wet start of the year here.
Your garden is wonderful. Especially the picture with the north and south lawns.
Wow, the tarp matches the trim exactly!
Great tour as always, I couldn't believe that you took those pictures today, your garden looks so advanced.
You have very posh tarp people in your neck of the woods. Coordinating house and tarp is just too much of a stretch for folks in Alaska. I esp. like your clever "borrowing" of the landscape: how kind to make your neighbors' tarp a focal point in your garden.

You know every time I see a blue tarp now I think of you. Not sure if you'd think that's a good thing.
Lovely tour (do you get tired of people saying that?) as always and I love seeing a picture taken right now, it's amazing to see the height that summer brings.
Now about that plagiarizing, WTF? (excuse me)...that is just so WRONG! Does anyone look at blogs like that and actually think that blogger wrote the post? Idiots.
I wouldn't have noticed the phone pole or tarp until you pointed them out. Too much else that's nice to rest the eye upon! Love the repurposed spreader, it's so cute. Sorry if the burn question aroused conflict. I guess it's part of life in some areas although I'm surprised to hear in yours.
Extra points for a tarp that's slipping off its intended coverage area! Are those people shut-ins or absentees?
I am so freakin' mad I'm about to curse on your blog! I couldn't even enjoy this tour for the idiot that lifted your post..I went over to leave a 'nice' comment but couldn't find where to do that...your name is all over those photos...what the @#$%$^&%$## is this person doing? I just don't get it!!! I will be back to enjoy your tour...damn!
Grace, So sorry about the scrappers...I've had my blog posts stolen, too. It's quite infuriating...
We see those flaws that no one else would notice...I also have unsightly telephone poles and electrical wires...They are just a part of city life.
Forget the thief and poles! Your garden tour has been so much fun~It's a beautiful garden~I could spend a lot of time enjoying the plants. My take away is that I want more plants and goodies in my garden~Especially, containers...My dear, you do a great job with containers and really fun architecture. yep, more containers and more pink at C&L!
Thanks for the tour...The tarp reminds me that I left mine on the carport and did not put it away when i finished using it today!
gail
It really stinks how someone can steal blog posts.... makes me so mad!
I'm still enjoying the garden tour! I love the repurposed fertilizer container. Great idea!
As for the blue tarp... well you know I'm with ya there! I really need to take a pic of the ugly blue one that is hanging off the side of my house. I'm gonna shame my hubby into fixing that siding. LOL
Dear Grace, First the neighbour's bonfire and now, more seriously, the stealing of your work. This is appalling and I think that you are taking it very calmly as it really is very upsetting.
That said, you must surely be so pleased with how your garden is looking at this time of year. Masses of life, interest and colour. Like others I had not noticed the telegraph pole. I think that one is only conscious of these things oneself.
Have a happy and relaxing weekend.
Hahaha, that is a beautiful garden and an amusing post. You have lots of beautiful plants too. I love also your way of recycling 'repurposed' items. Your insertion of humor in the post is great, i even had to really find, what is she really talking about 'the blue thing far up', hehe. thank you.
Grace,
I so admire your talent for design. Your garden is beautiful, and your images always make me long for a lawn chair and some time to sit and enjoy all of the beauty. I love the Phormium, Canna 'Bengal Tiger', and the Irish moss. I too enjoy collecting antique watering cans in addition to the old-fashioned sap buckets to use as planters.
Hi Grace. I really love the ground cover plants you have growing between the stepping stones. The different colors are striking.
I've heard other gardeners complain about plagiarized photos, especially on ebay. Sorry to hear about that.
Marnie
Grace, that is a rotten thing that some do... simply taking from someone else. Hopefully Google will do something.
On a brighter side I always love the "before" photos. This time of year when we walk along the paths and there is so much open space, I always marvel at how quickly it all fills in. And I'm still laughing at the "blue thing at the far end of my yard".
The wind here this morning has been rather unpleasant and the Magnolia blossoms are blowing all over the place. :(( Stay dry my friend.
Grace, Each time I see your garden I am instantly inspired, smiling and astonished! Awful about the person stealing your work! I think your idea about the anonymous green tarp a great one. I think the fert spreader fits perfectly in with your other wonderfully unique containers. It must be so exciting to be in your garden with all the growth and blooms happening. OMG! That tarp photo reminds me of my shed! A picture I never show... perhaps you have inspired me to show all! lol! Love your caption! ;>)
Hello Grace,
First, I am sorry you have been victimized...
Second, your garden is beautiful this time of year and it isn't even summer yet :^)
Thirdly and most importantly, I LOVE the tarp photo.
Do you know how much harder you're making it to wait to go plant shopping after this post? :) If it wasn't pouring rain I just might have hopped in the car right now.
We planted a couple of dwarf pear trees in our front yard a couple of years ago and I was wondering how they'd look mixed in a perennial border, but after seeing how nice yours looks I'm not concerned about it. They were one of the very few things my husband wanted to plant in our yard.
I can't believe that your blog is being copied now too. I just don't get what people will do sometimes. I hope it gets taken care of. I think it's the same person that seems to be copying so many garden blogs recently.
first of all I don't even notice the telephone pole because the garden is so beautiful!! Secondly, love the tarp of the month! Still laughing...
Well how stupid is that idiot. Trying to make a buck I guess. I saw those baskets on there from one of our bloggers too but for the life of me I cannot think who it was now.
I like your fertilize spreader. Your fuchsia is so pretty Grace.
LOL! Love the tarp of the month.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Lona
Oh, I just remembered whose baskets were on that other posting they stole. It was Rain Gardeners. I notified her.

Hi Grace,
First of all, have you complained to Google about this guy? Maybe we can find where he is and give him a beat-down (just kidding).
And... I have a horrible confession. I would love to burn in my backyard - but I don't. It's illegal where I live and I know it isn't good for the environment, but I long for the days when we didn't have such a mass population and when a nice bonfire was a treat instead of a threat. I am THRILLED though that there will be very little field burning this year. I guess a few people in Silverton can still burn, but hopefully this year we can avoid running the kid to the hospital with an asthma attack brought on by smoke.
Hope you find your plagerist. I'll send him some nasty plagerist karma.
Cindee
weird about the plagiarizer! But really, if you're going to plagiarize, why steal from someone who has gracepete.com all over her photos? S-t-u-p-i-d!! I really don't get technology and don't really get what the person is getting from doing this.
Love the tarp! ha!
Love the hellebore too - how is yours so tall and perfect? You get tired of hearing how perfect all your pink flowers are, don't you.
Grace, my theory about blog thieves is that karma will get them eventually. Especially if everyone files a complaint with Google/Blogger and makes a fuss about it, they'll have to take their heads out of their butts and deal with it. You've got this thief dead to rights, with your signature all over each photo.
aside from that little tantrum, the tour is just blissful. I am happy to report, however, I now have snowdrops in my garden. Spring is flushing its way across the continent.
LOL about the matching tarp genius. ;)
You have such a lovely garden. I even love your little mosaic planter and the mossy paths. What a sanctuary you've created! If our gardens are indeed a form of autobiography, I suspect you have a graceful and colorful and healthy soul.
Grace girl .. I have been head deep in my garden (because I am on my knees most of the time ? ;-)
I love all of the cute additions to your side bar !
Amazingly enough my Orientails hellebore has lots of flower buds too ! not opened yet, but on their way : ) now that is a surprise we are both having that happen at the same time ?
Jeez on the blog "blanker" or is that plonker UK style ? haha
Hope they get some rough justice ?
Spring is almost two feet on the ground here .. phew !
Joy
Hi, Grace;
Sorry to hear someone snitched your lovely prose. That has happened to me, too, and it makes me ballistic! Is there a way to stop such theives?
I loved your photo garden tour and laughed out loud at the tarp photo. Makes me think of those Glamour Don'ts. :)) I hope you're having a nice weekend.
You humble me (although I'm already a pretty humble gardener).
Everything is looking lovely and promising.
Thanks for the uplift,

I just love your gardens still. I do love seeing it in different seasons. Don't you love poking around in there when some of the plants have gone to sleep for the winter? Looking forward to photos of it waking up..
I just looked at these photos again and kept scrolling back and forth. It's such an amazing change when the plants are in. I love the last few photos. It's totally inspiring.
