Truthiness? How 'bout Randomness?

Align Center
Heuchera 'Georgia Peach' is
a peach of a plant, boasting the largest leaves of all in my Heuchera collection.

Move over, peaches. Let's try for something a little
less nutritious.

Yes, I'm being random. I found this freebie and had to have a copy.
I always enjoy "friendly food," don't you?

And, hello? Donuts are even more friendly with a smiley-faced
cup of java.
My gift to each of you in appreciation for understanding
the issue of Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Speaking of which,
would you believe today dawned with nary a cloud in the sky?
In the spirit of
Karen of Greenwalks
I thought I'd grab a few drive-bys.

Are you drooling, Loree? Thems some dangerous prickly-pears!
Doesn't it seem odd that these thrive in the Pacific Northwest?

Notice the kitty by the bench? I called to her and she came
and we wanted to bond. Unfortunately her collar meant
she already had people. And three cats at home already
have me.
See the moss growing under the bench? This stuff is as ubiquitous
as air in these parts. I love it.

Do you think this compost pile has been here awhile?

And finally, for all you fellow pink people. Or is it magenta?

I love randomness, I am all about the random. :)
I think that car is hot pink? I think maybe it could belong to Barbie, the little tart.
You made me crave a donut. dang you.
Fun post!

Hi Grace! Sometimes Randomness is the best there is. :-) You are always doing new things to your blog to make it interesting. Have a great weekend! Reading Rosey's comment... we could all share a virtual donut, at least!

PS is 'Final Touch' (Hemerocallis) really that pink?? Lovely!

I agree with Rosey, that car belongs to Barbie.
That compost pile made me laugh out loud.

Here I am craving donuts also.

Hey you are a cat person too? Love em, even when Boosie is waking us up at 4:30 every morning. Got to find a solution to that one....

Here I am, again! I see you also won one of Randy's interactive CD books of insects/butterflies!! Congrats! (You could have knocked me over with something less than a pink flamingo when I found I'd won!) ha! You also don't have to print this comment...

I'm relieved to find out that donuts are good for us, that's good news! :)
Love the Heuchera, I'll be adding that to my wish list.
Glad you had a sunny day, it's amazing what a little sun can do for your mood.

Dear Grace, Your posting was a great antidote to my otherwise exceedingly orderly approach to life. The car is certainly one to be noticed in!

Hi Grace, while not random, much, myself, I can appreciate it in others! Moss is pretty random here too, growing on nearly every surface, more so with the rainforest quantities of rain we are enjoying this winter. Glad you got to see the sun! :-)

Ooo, I like that car.

Great minds think alike! lol I picked up a pack of Entemann's Softies a few days ago. They were calling -- heck screaming -- my name. :)

If I keep visiting blogs I think I'm going to be converted into a Heuchera fanatic. The color of the leaves of that 'Georgia Peach' is fantastic.

Yes actually! I was drooling, then I paged down a little and was stunned to see you calling me on it! Funny that you know me that well! Guess what I don't have in my garden? Not a single Prickly Pear. I think I'll be taking care of that this year. Thank you for the fun randomness!

I like your random post. Donuts are very friendly... until you see them again in the mirror!
My computer crashed right when I posted this comment earlier, so you might get it twice. :)

Barbie? Nooo! That has got to be YOUR car!
At Dancing Oaks, they had a Prickly Pear, in a vivid container, whose prickle bases were colored in such a way to make it look like polka dots. How have I managed to get by without one of those?

that car would be so happy at your place! :) Donuts are defintely friendly food - at least during the time you're eating. Perhaps friendly in disguise.

Yes! Someone else has a compost pile older than mine! For the record, I'm saving mine for a special project which involves getting neighbor approval, which I think is right around the corner. But still, you feel like a jerk after 6 months.

Glad that someone else talks to strange cats too, Grace! As for that car...eyewwwww My eyes! Pass brain bleach, please. I love the colour in the garden or on clothing. As a car colour, not so much.

That little burst of sunshine went straight to your brain didn't it? This is wonderful, I appreciate so much seeing this side of you Grace..I leave you this evening with a BIG smile on my face!

Wow...a Prickly Pear in Oregon? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I am...

I particularly enjoy the compost pile, especially since until recently I had a wood chip pile that did something similar!

Its all the new little gizmos with the flashing lights that caught my eye. 0 to Bitch in 2.4 seconds..... methinks I need to find one of those! The car.... being without wheels I'd be more than happy to park it in my drive! I see by your weather icon that we are enjoying the same weather, rain, but I'm a good ten degrees colder! Thanks for the jolt of colourful energy!

What a fun post! Now I'm in the mood for a chocolate donut... You'd have to be a pretty brave soul to buy a hot pink car when it is brand new and think you'd never tire of the wild color.

The sun - have forgotten what it looks like - glad that you have caught a glimpse Grace. Must have that heuchera !

SUN! I loved the sun, I want it back! And yes, donuts are my best friend. And worst enemy. Thanks to Spoongebob, I call them my friendenemy (it rolls off the tongue). I adore Roth's, their Pershings are so awesome.

Just a fly by to say hey there and read while I am having coffee! gail!

Love the car! I almost became a Mary Kay consultant just so I would have a chance to win one of those baby pink cars. Decided with my lack of salesmanship, it would be cheaper to just have a car painted (but I've never done it). A donut and coffee sounds terrific about now. Could you send one of each over?!!!
Crazy that prickly pears would grow that ginormous in the moist PNW! I wouldn't have thought it.
Darn on the kitty already having people. I'm always up for a new kitty! Random was good Grace!

Hi Grace I enjoyed your drive by and was amused by the compost heap especially.

Thanks for your comments on computers I quite agree if it was not for all the information gathered from the computer I would be a very sick woman now.

Through the computer I was able to find information about ILADS and the need for long term antibiotics for Lyme disease something that is not widespreadly known amongst doctors. I also managed to find a doctor who specialised in lyme disease who was able to advise my GP.

The controversy about diagnosis and treatment has left many thousands of patients to suffer years of chronic ill health but now thanks to computers we can do our own research and help our doctors to find what treatments work for us.

Love that Heuchera...if that's not your car, then maybe you can arrange to have the owner park it in front of your house when all your pinks are blooming....too funny. You've really made me want some pink....hot pink!

Now I'm totally craving donuts! Yummy. They'd be a great food to enjoy in the garden, if I could ever get them home without eating them in the car . . .
