Actually, May through say, the middle of July is the most wonderful time of the year thanks to the green blood that swirls through my garden-obsessed veins, but whatever. I found this poinsettia blooming in the foyer of an office building. Thanks to my large purse carrying [among a plethora of must-haves] an-always-at-the-ready tiny camera, I grabbed a quick shot. Ain't she a beut?
Just for fun I thought I'd take up Janie's offer to answer these random 38 questions. Yes, I know, highest on your agenda is to learn more about me, right? Janie says that if you'd like to take up the challenge, copy the questions and go for it.
1. Do you like bleu cheese? Not particularly. The nose knows.

Most amusing answers. Have a lovely Christmas.
Oh Grace, what a funny girl you are! Why does that sound weird? Should it be you is? I loved every answer, but the soup kitchen one got the biggest rise. Thanks for sharing so much about yourself. :-)
Frances
Grace you have me in stitches from "the nose knows..." besides being a Master/Goddess gardener (right there with Vita) you are a master wit with words! I do enjoy a healthy dose of Sherlock too. Happy Holidays to you! Carol
Love this Grace!!!!!! Merry Christmas...
What a hoot!!! I sure wish we lived closer. Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year (will the computer crash?)
Grace, That was fun! Have the happiest of holidays with your family and friends. Gail
That is a pretty Poinsettia. Somehow I never ended up buying one this year.
I loved reading your answers, you are so funny!
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas!
You have had me in stitches here Grace. We share the middle name thing - we will have to share first names one of these days. Wishing you peace and happiness at Christmas and in the new year:)
LOL, LOL, Soon as I get up off of the floor I well tell you what a gorgeous poinsettia that is. It is also good to know you have a camera hidden away. Don't you think Conan and Maria Shriver are related.
Merry Christmas Grace.
That's the most poinsettia I have ever seen. Actually this is the first time I have seen such a mixed colour poinsettia. Your anwswers are witty and funny. Merry Chritmas!
Well that was just too much fun! Kidding of course, you can never have too much fun..
Grace, What a Beautiful Poinsettia - as well as a beautiful photo... Christmas card?? You are very cute! Merry Christmas and may you enjoy making memories! :-)
Hello Grace,
Well, you have a very funny sense of humor. I love your answers. The photo of the Poinsettia is just beautiful - I'm glad you had your camera too! I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
Happy holidays Grace and thanks for all the glorious blog posts in 2009!
Oh Grace. I should have known not to be drinking mango lassy while reading your post. I got to about the fourth one before I giggle snorted. What fun you are. I'm so glad to have found you through the wonderful world of blogging.
Have yourself a Merry Happy Christmas, and it's only 6 months and a bit til July finds us.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
Love these posts.
Jen
LOL Grace. If I wrote responses like this, my family would think I'd already been helping myself to my favorite drink! :-)
Too funny.
I couldn't agree more about your favorite time of year. I do love Christmas but not December. Late spring and early summer win hands down. That is one fine looking poinsettia tho. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I'm so glad I found your blog.
What a great way to start the morning. I laughed so hard I almost snorted my coffee through my nose (and how painful would that have been!) You are a charming wit.
On another track - Are you going to the Seattle show this Feb? We should get a bunch of bloggers together and nip over to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. They have good speakers this year.
Cindee
Marry Christmas Grace, very funny post.
what an appropriate plant to feature today! Love learning more about you too! :)
Oh my grace! How did I miss this one? Your history of needles too funny! The nose ring I know about that one, my ex's ex's about blew up when his daughter turned 18 and got one!
Have a very Merry Christmas and exciting New Year!
Estas las vendimos por primera vez este año, a la gente les gusto mucho la polisetia moteada.
Feliz 2010 desde España
I enjoyed reading this, but don't have the patience or attention span to participate. When I saw your favorite girl's name, I didn't read it right at first, and thought Freida was your first name. I got all excited, because my grandmothers' names were Freida and Grace. I wanted to name our almost 28 year old daughter Freida Grace, but no one else in my family, especially my husband liked the idea.
Oh, Freida B Me was pretty clever.
I love the colors of the poinsettia.
Merry Christmas!
It's fun to know u better, Grace. Love your smart and cute answers.
Merry Christmas. Wishing you a great year ahead
Always the entertaining girl... Not only is your garden a treasure to enjoy but you make me smile often which makes me grateful for the gift of you. Merry Christmas to you and your family... may all your gardening dreams come true in 2010.
Blessings, Meems
Great answers! You have me giggling! And, I love that poinsettia. Very pretty colors. Happy Holidays! :)
What are they doing to those poinsettias these days? I got one you would maybe like, it's PINK! :) A big one, too. Might clash with your shirt, though. That polka-dotty one's a stunner!
Love your 38 answers. You are a witty one, dear Grace! Sorry about your needle incident, those 8 year olds are harsh! Hope you recover from the psychic wounds someday.
Happy New Year, if I don't get back here to say that before it's time! And hope you had a wonderful Christmas. You are a great blog buddy!
Grace girl .. damn funny ! good thing I didn't snort my coffee in the wrong direction (would be cleaning lap top by now !) ..
I love that picture of the pointsettia ! .. do your cats try to get at it at all ? .. I haven't had one in the house for years because of that fear .. damn ! The fake ones look pretty darn good though (put that on my list for next year !!)
Happy New Year !! and yes, I wonder what the world would be like if ruled by cats ?? LOL
Joy : )
Very fun! I can' only agree about jack sparrow and I love the freida b me. Happy New Year!
Sorry i was so late reading this post. What fun! I've stayed up way too late tonight, but this post made it worth it. Grace, i hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and may you have a very happy New Year.
Very funny, I think I could've been a pirate too! Wishing you a very happy new year...and a wish for a few sips of a favorite drink or two, lots of pink flowers, continued sense of humor, warm toes, no needles & pirate dreams.....
I came to visit from High Altitude Gardening and I never want to leave. I too am a Master Gardener but here in Utah with a little yard and no sun. Your garden makes me green with envy. In the space I do have to garden it is pink that calls my name and the reason I want to linger here. The colors and textures are a beautiful combination in a lovely design. Congratulations on a lovely garden and blog.
I'm back already, this time with a question. How do you get the pictures so large on your blog? They look fabulous and I would love to do that on mine. Thanks,KC
Funny. Yes, your own garden vs. plant sale, that's a tough call. Now I'm about to join you in wishing to hurry through the winter season. I like the anticipation of christmas, but now that its over, and there seems no hope of the snow in the forecast, only cold rain, and the plants have turned to slime, NOW I'm looking forward to spring right along with you.
I enjoyed reading your answers. Actually that was my first chuckle today. (It's been a slow day. Then too, I have a cold and am feeling very sorry for myself:)
My world in under two feet of snow. I usually spend my drive time in bad weather cursing my ancestors who for some insane reason chose to settle here.
Marnie
Grace, thanks for the funnies! I've been missing from blotanical for a long time -- more about that on my blog -- but I hope to be back now, to enjoy your glorious garden. And you have a fellow Pinkster here -- love any colour, as long as it's that one.
Freda B. Me, ha ha ha. I geddit! Hyuck!
