Pink: It's Not Just for Flowers Anymore

Hi y'all! I just love, love, love your comments! Heather, likened the Halloween House [previous post] to the Bates' Motel. Clever, girl! And "Danger Garden" asked if I did a drive-by on Halloween night to see what might be lurking. Darn. It was probably the sugar high that distracted me. Speaking of drive-by shootings, I hope I'm not offending anyone for my usage of this negative colloquialism. With possibly presumptuous literary license, I figure it needs a positive connotation. Let's start a movement!

Euphorbia x martinii 'Red Martin' olive green in summer, it likes to blush as the mercury drops.

Drive-by: Autumn at its finest. Kudos to the designer of this tableau.

Monteith Park in October

Amsonia hubrechtii doing its autumn thing.

A grove of maples or Liquidambar [I didn't get close enough] at the local community college.

Hydrangea serrata 'Preziosa' The aging flowers and the blushing foliage...eye candy

This gap is pissing me off. I don't know how to fix it. ....

Grace,
Those were some lovely "drive-by shootings." Who cares about being PC?

I don't always have my camera for drive by shootings....but am always seeing things! Not to self, 'remember the camera.' Lovely shots, I especially love that Euphorbia...it is just beautiful.

Love all the pinks. I really like the euphorbia, does it spread as bad as some do? If not I'd love to put that on my want list.
I see 'Preziosa' is looking as great there as it is here. Definitely one of my favorites.
The gap problem, I think if you go to edit post and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the post (beyond your last bit of writing) and then just delete the spaces as you go up it should go away. Hope that makes sense.

Gorgeous fall colors -- our fall here hasn't been neary as colorful.

BEAUTIFUL colors! I don't think I've noticed any pink, but I have some some gorgeous fiery red/orange. The season is so pretty!

That euphorbia is the best. I just planted one myself. Right now it's green and pink tinged. Awesome.

I'm leaving you an honest scrap award. No pressure though!! :)

Autumn is my favorite season. I love the colors on the leaves. I envy you guys. We don't have those here in Malaysia.

I am all about the drive by myself, so bring it on. I don't imagine anyone took real offense. Lovely shots, so much amazing color this time of year. My folks have a liquidambar but it's kind of smallish, maybe because it's planted under a Doug Fir. Its leaves all turn color at different times, so the uniformity of the leaves in your photo make me wonder if you saw maples. But, as you said, hard to tell from a distance sometimes! You can find pink anywhere, can't you?! :)

I'm glad you ID'd that euphorbia, I think it's the one I admired in your last post. I really like that one. Love that amsonia too, I'll have to look into acquiring one of my own.

As much as I prefer spring and summer, fall does have beauty of its own. Awesome photos!
